Hajj is one of the Five Pillars of Islam and is obligatory for every physically and financially capable Muslim. It involves a pilgrimage to Mecca, where pilgrims perform specific rituals. Also known as the “Festival of Sacrifice,” Eid al-Adha (June 16-17, 2024) marks the end of the Hajj pilgrimage that takes place in Mecca. During this holiday, Muslims worldwide commemorate the willingness of Prophet Ibrahim (Abraham) to sacrifice his son, Isma’il (Ishmael), as an act of obedience to God.
Min. Farrakhan stated, "I have been blessed to make that wonderful pilgrimage. Min. Farrakhan stated, "I have been blessed to make that wonderful pilgrimage. But, when I made that pilgrimage, it was clear to me that the pilgrimage was nothing more than a sign of another journey; the journey of the sperm to its goal, which is not to meet in Mecca, but to meet with that which Mecca represents, that which the Ka’bah represents..... Our whole life is a struggle to meet with the Source of our life.....”
Min. Farrakhan explained 10,000 Fearless men and women were needed “because it takes fearless men and women to help others work out their salvation.” By standing in between the guns and the gangs and setting up conflict resolution centers, the 10,000 Fearless would help slow down the violence and the fratricidal conflicts in the Black community.
These study and training units are based upon a speech delivered on September 21,1986 in Phoenix, AZ by the Hon. Min. Louis Farrakhan who said, "This speech, in my judgment, formally ushers in that which is the launching pad of a worldwide movement. Each study session is designed on the guidance of Allah (God) to produce: self-examination; self-analysis; self-correction; and, to quicken in each of us, the self-accusing spirit. For, it is only when we are awakened morally that we have to face the self-accusing spirit that leads to our resurrection." Join us for in-person study on Friday evenings.
